Day 1 Arrive in Lima
Arrive in the Lima airport, where our staff waits to take you to the heart of the city, Miraflores or spend the night in the airport hotel. This beautiful coastal city was founded by Francisco Pizarro, January 18, 1535 as the City of Kings. It became the capital and the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Today Lima renowned for Peruvian cuisine especially ceviche (fresh seafood dishes).

Day 2 Lima – Cusco – Inca City Walking Tour
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Arrive and our staff will take you to your hotel. Rest and enjoy an early light lunch. Our guide will meet you in the afternoon and drive to the statue of White Christ where you will catch spectacular views of the beautiful city of Cusco below. Then we will walk to the nearby archeological site of Sacsayhuaman and be in awe with the huge boulders with its genius building. On our return we will walk passing San Cristobal until reaching the Plaza de Armas for a tour of the Cathedral with its fine art pieces. Then off to Qoricancha (Inca Sun Temple) to observe the favorite temple of the Incas. Return to your hotel.

Day 3 Full Day Rafting Cusipata
This morning we will take off from your hotel in private transport to Cusipata about a 2 hours drive with beautiful scenery. On our arrival you will feel the adrenaline rising waiting for your adventure of rafting the wild tides. We will get settled in a have a safety chat and instructions before receiving your equipment. Then we will drive for 10 minutes to Chuqui to start the long awaiting rafting. Ride the rapids of II, III and III+ feeling ultimate excitement for about 2 hours. After, the thrill we will return to the lodge and have lunch. You can shower and relax in the sauna. Return to Cusco.

Day 4 Pisaq ruins hike to Pisaq Village & Biking to Calca
In the morning we will drive from your hotel to the Pisac ruins. Hike and admire the archeological site built on top of the hill from the town of Pisac. Tour the Religious complex with its Sun Temple and many water channels and amazingly built surrounding terraces. Thereafter, hike down to Pisac village walking on top of the farming terraces for about 1.5 hours. Arrive and have lunch in one of the restaurants in Pisac. After lunch drive to the town of Taray to start our exhilarating bike tour to the town of Calca for about 2 hours. Take in breathing taking views of the Sacred Valley, Urubamba River, Crops and local people.

Day 5 Chinchero Weaving – Bike to Huaypo Lagoon – Stand up Paddling – Maras Salt Mines
We set off from your hotel to the town of Chinchero for a weaving demonstration using ancient techniques and natural dye. From here we will bike to the lagoon of Huapo for approx. 1.5 hours seeing the countryside, community people, crops of potatoes, quinoa, wheat, barley and more. The adventure continues by doing standup paddling in the Huaypo lagoon for 2 hours. Let´s relax and have a delicious picnic lunch with spectacular views. After lunch we will drive to the Maras salt mines tucked in the middle of the mountains. Walk along the saltpans observing the surreal vision ahead of you and tasting its salty waters. Hike down for about 1.5 hours to where our transport will be waiting to take us to your hotel.

Day 6 Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Travel by early train to the trailhead km 104 at Chachabamba (2100m/6888ft) to start our hike for about 6 hours. This moderate walk takes us to Wiñaywayna (2740m/8990ft) for a visit of the Incan ruins. We will eat lunch by the ruins admiring nature. After lunch we will hike up to Sungate (IntiPunku) to catch the first spectacular views of Machu Picchu below. After a few pictures we will walk down for another 50 minutes to the Sanctuary and take the shuttle bus down to Aguas Calientes. Unwind and enjoy the evening.

Day 7 Machu Picchu Tour – Huayna Picchu or Mountain Peak – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
An early rise this morning with a hot breakfast, before taking the shuttle bus (first bus 5:30am and then every 10 minutes) with your guide for a 25 minute ride to the mysterious Machu Picchu (opens at 6:00am). Take pleasure in a professional guided walking tour for about the 2.5 hours of the stunning Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Visit the extraordinary Temple of the Sun with exceptionally carved stones, Temple of the Three Windows features huge trapezoidal windows, Intihuatana the solar clock, Funerary Rock Hut believed to be a place where the Inca nobility were mummified, and more. Then climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain Peak for a challenge. Exit the park with your guide and return to town. Have lunch before taking the train to the Poroy or Ollantaytambo station. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 8 Cusco-Rainbow Mountain-Cusco
Early morning pick up from your hotel around 5:00am and set off on our 3 hours’ drive through the southern valley passing Oropesa, Tipon and other villages taking in the amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains. After an approximate 2 hour drive we will have breakfast in the Cusipata area. Then continue for about 50 minutes until reaching Llontop (4638m /15,216 ft.), our trail head to start our adventure hike. Our first hour will be a gradual climb up hill and the last 30 minutes will be a steep up climb. Observe the lovely llamas and alpacas grazing in nature, the local Quechua People, their homes and farms. Finally reaching the striking Rainbow Mountain (5036m/16,518ft.) where we will admire the colorful mountains set in front of us and to the back the Sacred Apu Ausangate. You will have time to explore and take amazing pictures for about 30 minutes. Thereafter, we will retrace our route and have lunch in the Cusipata area before returning to Cusco arriving around 4:30pm.
Optional route: Palcoyo
Note: You can rent a horse to ride for the 1st hour but the horse cannot do the last 30 minutes up the steep hill and then hop on the horse on return for the last hour.

Our prices are per person in double occupancy (matrimonial or twin) in US dollars, thus if you want a single room you will need to add a supplement cost.

Occasionally, after coordinating your trip with our travel consultant, there could be slight changes in your itinerary or hotels because you want to spend more time in places that interest you, avoid long distances, have more free time or avoid tourist concentrations. These changes will increase or reduce the final price. It is important to mention that most hotels increase their rates during special holidays but our Travel Consultant will inform you and make other suggestions.
