Overview
This fantastic journey combines beautiful scenery in the Andes and the colorful lifestyle of the local people in the highlands. It starts in the ancient Inca capital, of Cusco and veers off towards Lares (3100m/10170ft) in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, traveling through small communities, observing many fields of Andean products, pristine lagoons and mountains. On this fantastic trip we use llamas as pack animals, like back in the days of the Incas. (horses are also used) Crossing the pass (4500m/14,760ft) we continue hiking the amazing Andes catching views of some birds like the powerful Condor or the Andean Cara Cara. Enjoy a soccer game with the local children during our adventure and also pick up some weaving handicrafts. Dip into the Lares hot springs and soak your body. Sleep comfortably in a hotel in Ollantaytambo (All the hotels are included in the program). Hike the short Inca Trail, the best leg of the Inca Trail visiting Wiñay Wayna and admiring the many birds and fauna. Our final visit will be of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu which will leave you mesmerized.
