Day 1 Arrive in Lima the City of Kings
Arrive in the Lima airport, where our staff waits to take you to the heart of the city, Miraflores or spend the night in the airport hotel. This beautiful coastal city was founded by Francisco Pizarro, January 18, 1535 as the City of Kings. It became the capital and the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Today Lima renowned for Peruvian cuisine especially ceviche (fresh seafood dishes).

Day 2 Arrive in Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas
Transfer from your hotel to the Lima airport for your flight to Cusco (3300m/10827ft). Arrive in the charming city of Cusco where our staff will welcome you. Board our private transportation and drive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas which is at least 600m lower in elevation than Cusco so you can acclimatize better. On route we will stop at the Awanacancha Weaving Center to see the weavers and observe llamas, and alpacas. Then continue passing the colonial town of Pisac and drive up the hill to the impressive Inca archaeological site (2972m/9751ft), overlooking the town and country side, with numerous agricultural terraces. Tour the Intihuatana (Sun Temple), a solar clock among a group of temples, ceremonial baths and water channels. Buffet lunch in a local restaurant in front of the Urubamba river. If you are a shopper, we could stop at the Pisac artisan market or continue to your hotel.

Day 3 Chinchero Textile Weaving – Maras Salt Mines – Lunch – Ollantaytambo The Inca Town – Train to Machu Picchu Village
Today we are going to visit the fabulous highland community of Chinchero (3,762m/12,340ft.) believed to have been a resort town for the Inca Emperor Tupác Yupanqui. We will watch a traditional colorful weaving demonstration in a local´s home. The people from this village live from farming, raising animals and weaving textiles. See them dying wool, spinning it into yarn and weaving it on their looms. You will have an opportunity to purchase some of their shawls (mantas), belts (watanas), and caps (chullos), amongst other items. ToursTrekperu supports these people in the struggle to maintain their traditions and customs.
Then drive on a dirt trail down to the colonial town of Maras continuing around the mountain where you will catch stunning views of the white salt ponds below. Stop for picture! Once we arrive at the Salt Ponds (3,180m/10,433ft) we will walk around the ponds and taste the salty waters. There are about 3,000 wells which are left to evaporate and are gathered by hand without any machinery. Then we will have a buffet lunch in Tunupa Restaurant. After lunch drive to one of the original Inca towns of Ollantaytambo (2,792m/9,160ft) once a royal estate to the Inca Pachacutec. The ruins were built on the side of the mountain facing town. Be pleased with the quaint town that has water canals running along the homes. Tour the many structures such as the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Hall and El Baño de la Princesa (Princess Bath). Then visit a local´s home where you will observe the guinea pigs with a chance to feed them and learn of their traditions. Thereafter, we board our train to Machu Picchu village where we will relax in a comfortable hotel.

Day 4 Machu Picchu journey through time – Cusco
This morning after breakfast, we will take the shuttle bus up for a 25-minute ride to Machu Picchu one of the Seven Wonders in the World. Take pleasure in a professional guided walking tour visiting the citadel once lost in time. Our first visit will be of the guard house to observe the agricultural farming terraces, Funerary Rock where the Incas were mummified and catch spectacular views of Sungate up above and Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu below. Stroll to the extraordinary Temple of the Sun with exceptionally carved stones, The Sacred Plaza with the Temple of the Three Windows which features the huge trapezoidal windows. Walk up to the Intihuatana the solar clock and finally visit the temple of the Condor. Exit the park with your guide and have a delectable lunch in the Tunupa Restaurant in the Sanctuary Lodge. After a lovely feast we will go to Machu Picchu village and board our Vistadome train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Arrive and our private transport will be waiting to take us to Cusco.

Day 5 Inca City Tour
Our guide will meet you in the morning or afternoon to start the historical visit of the Inca city of Cusco declared a UNESCO World Heritage in 1983. Stroll on the cobble stoned streets to the Plaza de Armas for a visit of the Cathedral built with stones from nearby Sacsayhuaman Temple. Then off to Qoricancha (court yard of gold) the most important Inca Sun Temple, once a glittering palace. Stroll to San Blas district considered to the bohemian part of town with many art stores with unique and strange art pieces. Afterwards, we drive above Cusco and visit the impressive Sacsayhuaman a religious sacred site for the Incas but was called a fortress by the Spaniards. Be in awe with the huge large wonderfully carved granite stones with boulders carefully chiseled to fit together. Thereafter, continue to Qenqo (labyrinth or zigzag) thought to have been used for rituals and to embalm bodies. Return to your hotel

Day 6 Fly Cusco-La Paz – Pm City Tour
Private transfer to the Cusco airport and connect to your international flight to La Paz-Bolivia. Our staff will greet you at the La Paz airport exit gate with a sign with the ToursTrekperu logo and your names. From here we will begin the tour. A panoramic tour through the viewpoint of Killi Killi, Murillo Square, Executive Palace, Legislative Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral, then descend to the amazing Moon Valley, rocky landscape that was created by the erosion of the winds and heavy rains forming an attractive lunar spectacle. Transfer to the cable car to enjoy an impressive panorama of the city of La Paz in one of the most ecological and modern mass transportation in the world. Visit the Witches Market, where are on sale mystical objects of rituals and Andean sorcery, artisan markets full of forms and colors. Visit to the Baroque-Mestizo-style San Francisco Church with impressive carvings on its façade, it is among the largest colonial architectural complexes that currently exist in Ibero-American cities. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Day 7 Fly La Paz-Uyuni – Private bus to Uyuni Salt Flat – Salar – Colchani
This morning a transfer to the airport for your flight to Uyuni where our guide will be waiting to start the tour.
Pick up from the airport to start the tour. Visit the train cemetery and then cross the white desert towards the town of Tahua located at the foot of the Tunupa volcano to explore the mummies of Coquesa. Lunch in the middle of the Salar. Excursion to the Inca Wasi Island, located in the center of the Salar and populated by giant cactus, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the largest salt flat in the world. Free time to take photos with surreal effects. Visit to the Salt Museum, an old hotel that preserves some salt sculptures. At the end of the afternoon you will appreciate a spectacular sunset of colors. Continue to Colchani for overnight.

Day 8 Colchani–Small Lagoons – Ojo de Perdiz
Breakfast and transfer to Ojo de Perdiz visiting the authentic towns of San Cristobal We will travel to past of unimaginable historical riches, ancient mines, ruins and natural viewpoints located in the mountains, visit the oldest church of the region, Kulpina K. We will make a magical journey full of experiences through the streets of the magical town to learn about two works of art by the Bolivian artist Gaston Ugalde, the “Plaza de Caracol” and the metal trees. then continue to the small lagoons: Cañapa, Honda, Ramaditas and Laguna Hedionda habitat of 3 species of flamingos. Day 9 Ojo de Perdiz or Villamar – Lagoons – Uyuni – Fly Uyuni-La Paz
Breakfast and visit to the Stone Tree geomorphological formation caused by the erosion of the wind that stands out in a set of volcanic rocks. (If the chosen route is Villamar, do not visit the stone tree). The trip continues towards the Laguna Colorada that receives that name for the sediments of algae like zooplankton and phytoplankton with red pigmentation, in this lagoon nest beautiful pink flamingos. Visit to the Geysers of Sol de Mañana where you can see mud of different colors boiling intensely. Continue to the thermal springs of Polques in the middle of the desert. It crossed the Pampas de Dalí, until the Green Lagoon of an impressive emerald color, in the skirts of the Licancabur Volcano. Return to Uyuni and transfer to the airport to catch the flight to La Paz.

Day 10 Tiawanaku Enigmas + Puma Punku – Hotel in La Paz
Tiawanaku is located 72 km from La Paz city, considered by experts the oldest civilization in the world, its ancient stones carved with extreme perfection are the testimony of the existence of an ancestral culture quite developed for its time. The symbols used by the Tiawanaku people has left a great legacy of knowledge to the cultures that later appeared in America, in addition to giving rise to alien theories.
Pick up from the hotel to start the excursion to Tiawanaku Archaeological Complex, ancient and mysterious city. Tiawanaku was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, experts have agreed that this civilization could be one of the most legendary human settlements on Earth. Visit the Pyramid of Akapana, Semisubterran Temple, Kalasasaya Temple, Puerta del Sol and Monolito Ponce, where you can admire fine iconographic engravings that involve a very advanced engineering and technology for that time and still have amazing details despite the years. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Puma Punku, complex formed by blocks of rock of 7 meters of height that weigh more than 100 tons, perfectly carved and with exact measurements. Return to the hotel.
